Welcome to the 60 Beats! An exciting excursion into the heyday of the British and American musical phenomenon that was 'The Sixties'.

 

The sixties era was responsible for more influences than any other decade. Mary Quant, E-type jags, Mini skirts, Winklepickers, and flower power VW camper vans were all accompanied by the exciting soundtrack from bands like Little Richard, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Monkeys, etc. etc.

 

The 60 Beats was born out of 'The Stools', a modern, actively gigging live act founded by long time musical associates Dom and Al. The 'Stools' name was simple: two guitarists sitting on two bar stools! But due to audience requests the repertoire evolved to include predominantly sixties songs, and today the set list is drawn entirely from the sixties. The name was then changed to something that does what it says on the tin: 'The 60 Beats'.

 

The current band line up is :-

Al "Twang!" - Guitar and Lead Vocals

Dom "6-Strings!" - Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals

Pete "Clatter!" - Drums and Percussion

Brian "Boris" - Bass Guitar and Vocals

The 60 Beats band members all wear black sixties suits to create an authentic looking and exciting sounding sixties experience and provide the perfect entertainment for weddings, parties, functions, events, pubs, etc.

Artists include : The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Who, The Monkees, The Kinks, The Animals, The Troggs, Small Faces, Procul Harem, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Dave Clark Five, The Doors, The Yardbirds, Freddie and The Dreamers, Simon and Garfunkel, Roy Orbison and many many more . . . !
